Road tripping to Belton, TX today to spend time with the fam for Father’s Day + ending the night @joetgarcias_ celebrating THIS pretty ladies birthday!! Woohoo! . HAPPY WEEKEND! 🎉
Got to meet one of the sweetest vendors at one of my weddings last weekend! If you haven’t seen or heard of @thecandidcamper - go check them out! The CUTEST photo booth you ever did see!
Allergies have totally gotten the best of me the past week and JUST when I’m feeling back to normal, Ryan comes home and tells me “yea you definitely got me sick.” Whoops! I’ve now had 4 people tell me I need to give essential oils a try and I’m not a skeptic (I’m kind of a skeptic) but IF I tried them, what should I try first? Do I have to use YL or can it be another brand? P.S. Remember your girl is kind of a cheapo so I refuse to be convinced that I need to sign up for a monthly-subscription-try-a-new-oil-every-week-thing (not yet at least, not until you de-skepticize me)
I’ve been pretty intentional since my very first wedding a year and a half ago to spend time praying over my couples on my drive to the venue each wedding day - over their marriage, over the smoothness of the day, I pray that even when the hair and makeup takes a bit longer than scheduled, when the groomsman realizes he forgot his shoes, when the first dance song doesn’t start right when it’s supposed to, that for the bride + groom it’s still a perfect day in every way. I pray for creativity and boldness on my part to capture the absolute BEST images for my couple to have and look back on for years and years and years to come and I pray for an eye to see and pick up on places where I can serve and love on the couple and their family throughout the day! And you know WHAT - every wedding since my very first (yes, I know I’m lucky), I’ve spent my drive HOME from the venue praying so much more, praising and thanking the Lord for how the couple and their family served ME throughout the day. I don’t think I’ll ever get over how in the heck I end up being a wedding photographer for some of the sweetest couples on the planet. I’m talking bridesmaids who ask me if I want to share lunch with them when I arrive, dads who bring me water without me asking while I’m taking bridal party portraits in a field, and groomsmen who go out of their way to tell me I made the photos way more fun than they expected. It makes my heart want to explodeeee! . Jumping into the wedding industry made me nervous and insecure as heck and I’m finally in a place where I just feel SO confident that this is where I’m supposed to be and what I’m supposed to be doing in this season of life. This business has been one of the most refining and rewarding gifts and watching the Lord take a passion He’s created in me and light it on FIRE in my heart has brought out a joy I can’t explain! If He’s given you an excitement or passion for something, anything, USE IT people and use it with all your might! I promise He’ll bless it in ways you will never ever even think to dream of!
I’m allowed to blast ya with three posts in a day after a double header wedding weekend, right? . Pia + Zach are MARRIED and getting to celebrate and capture them this weekend was such a joy!
